Is it necessary to book child seats?
- The law requires that children under a certain age must sit on a child seat appropriate to their age. If you fail to tell us about the need for a child seat when making your reservation, the driver has the right to refuse to carry the child(ren) and does not have an obligation to carry spare child seats or to try to get one for the journey. In these cases, no transfer fees will be refunded nor will any claim for additional expenses incurred be allowed.
- One child seat is provided free of charge.
If you are traveling with several children, then the second and subsequent child seats are provided for an extra fee: 5 euros / chair.
- You are strongly advised to tick the need for child seats during the reservation process and to give the age of each child in the comments box on the same page |
What payment options are available?
Standard car, Standard carrier, Standard Van:
a) cash to the driver on the spot,
b) deposit + cash to the driver on the spot,
c) 100 % in advance (bank transfer or online using bank card) |

This payment systems provide the safety of money transfers according to
international standards. Data is entered on a secure page, which is a
payment gateway. This guarantees the safety of your data and money
transfer.
Prepayment by Credit or Debit Card via the Barion system
The Passenger will be redirected to a payment page with a secure
communication channel.
Online bank card payments are executed via the Barion system. The
merchant does not get and store bank card data. Barion Payment Inc., the
provider of this service, is an institution under the authority of the
Central Bank of Hungary, its license number is: H-EN-I-1064/2013. |
How far in advance should I book a transfer?
Reservation is
supposed to be made at least 24 hours before the time of the transfer.

Is it safe to make a payment via your site?
Yes. The payment is
received by the bank, certified by VISA/MasterCard.

Does the price depend
on the date of my transfer? The transfer
price does not depend on weekends and time of the day.
Important note: on some holidays or large-scale events (such as New
year, Olympics or World Cup), the price may rise due to increased
demand. |
Is the price for a
car or for a passenger? All prices
displayed on the website are provided per car. The price does not depend
on the number of passengers within the car capacity. Important note:
maximum capacity of a car is specified for each class. |
What is Spa Thermal Travel cancellation policy?
You may cancel your booking with full refund of the
amount paid:
up to 24 hours before the transfer.
If you cancel your booking less than 24 hours before its beginning,
penalties can be applied according to Terms and Conditions.
You will receive a refund in the same way you paid for your booking
within 60 bank days.

Am I able to book a
transfer with the multiple drop-offs?
Yes. Please e-mail us at
balatontaxi@gmail.com with the details of your journey. Please be
advised that additional charges may apply. |
What is your smoking policy?
A no smoking policy is operated in all types of
vehicles. |
What pick-up time
should I set? If you need a transfer
from an airport or a railway station, we recommend you to specify your
flight arrival time as the beginning of your transfer. In this case, it
is more convenient for a driver to organize the meeting.
If you need a transfer from a hotel to an airport, specify the time you
should be met at the reception. You will have to calculate the departure
time by yourself. We recommend you to have a time margin of 3 hours for
the airport check-in and travel time. Approximate time a driver needs to
arrive at the airport is specified on the booking page. |
What should I do if my flight is delayed?
As soon as you find out that your flight is delayed,
please inform us via email

Provide the order number and the new arrival time.
If your flight is being delayed for less than 30 minutes, the driver
will monitor it and arrive by the time of landing.
Please note that if the waiting time exceeds 1 hour, the driver may ask
to pay extra for waiting. |
Will I have to pay
extra for waiting? If you are booking a
taxi transfer from the airport to the city, the price already includes
one hour of waiting after the scheduled arrival time. If your flight is
being delayed for less than 30 minutes, the driver will monitor it and
arrive by the time of landing. If you learn about a longer flight delay,
please inform the driver as soon as possible by calling one of the phone
numbers sent to your email.
Please note that if the waiting time exceeds 1 hour, the driver may ask
to pay extra for waiting.
If you book a transfer from the hotel, the price includes 15 minutes of
waiting from the time stated in the order. |
What type of vehicles
(cars) are used for the transfer? All
our transfers involve the use of cars, minibuses or buses, according to
the type of transfer required. All vehicles are air-conditioned.

What if I have bulky
luggage? For standard luggage the sum of
three dimensions (length, width, and height) does not exceed 158 cm. Any
bigger baggage can be considered non-standard.
If you have non-standard luggage with you (skis or snowboards in case of
private transfers to the ski center as well as bikes, prams,
wheelchairs, big suitcases, golf clubs etc.), consult with Spa Thermal Travel
support manager what vehicle type is more suitable for you.

What happens if I’ve
lost my luggage? How long will the driver wait for me?
If you discover that your luggage has gone missing,
you should inform us as soon as possible by using the phone number shown
on the confirmation letter and that you have arrived at the airport and
still require the transfer. If you have booked a Transfer from the
airport, the driver will wait up to a maximum of 1 hour after the flight
arrival time. If it is a Transfer from a railway station, the waiting
time is 15 minutes after the arrival time of the train. If you have not
contacted the driver (or office) within these time limits, the driver
can leave the airport or station without waiting any further. |
What are the rules
about wearing seat belts? wearing a seat
belt is compulsory, passengers must wear them if asked to do so by the
driver. Passengers who refuse to do so when requested by the Driver will
not be allowed to continue with the transfer. No transfer fees will be
refunded nor will any claim for additional expenses incurred be allowed. |
How can I find my
driver? Important note: the driver will
meet you with the sign showing your first and last names, which you
specified during the booking.
If a pick-up place is an airport, the driver will meet you at the exit
of arrivals area or at the special meeting point.
If a pick-up place is a hotel, the driver will wait for you in the hotel
lobby. |
What should I do if
my flight arrives earlier? If your
flight arrives earlier, probably your driver with a name sign will not
be at the meeting point yet. Please wait for the driver at the exit of
the arrivals area.
You can also contact the driver by phone or via SMS messages to speed up
your meeting at the airport.
Important note: if possible, do not leave the airport with local taxi
service, in this case we will not be able to refund you the sum, and you
will have to pay twice. |
What if I am
travelling with animals? Live animals
can travel – for a payment of an extra fee - providing they are carried
in suitable carrying equipment, which is kept in good and secure
condition, and that you have the necessary documents (e.g. a pet
passport). Please notify us at the time you make your reservation. Guide
dogs are transported free of charge.
Important note: in case of a law violation, your driver has a right to
refuse to provide this transfer. |
